History
All three Obydensky alleys were named after the church of Elijah the Prophet of the Everyday , built, according to legend, by ordinary believers according to the vow, that is, in one day. In the middle of the XIX century, it was called Bezobrazovskiy Lane by the name of the local homeowner Major G. B. Bezobrazov. Until 1922 - 1st Ilyinsky Lane. This name lane was given in the XVIII century by the same church. In 1965-1994 - Krylenko Street, named after N.V. Krylenko (1885-1938) - the Supreme Commander-in-Chief and the People's Commissar for Military Affairs of the first Soviet government. Since 1936 he was the People's Commissar of Justice, where he gained notoriety as a zealous ideologist of lawless repression [1] .
Description
1st Obydensky Lane starts from 3rd Obydensky , runs northwest parallel to 2nd Obydensky from the south and Soymonovsky passage from the north. It overlooks Ostozhenka in the immediate vicinity of Prechistenskie Vorota Square .
