Story
The story begins with the fact that the American ( Billy Drago ) goes to Japan in search of his beloved woman named Kamomo. The stranger remembers his story. Once upon a time, this wanderer met a girl with whom he had fallen deeply and sincerely in love, but he was forced to leave the country and return to America. Before leaving, he promised his beloved that he would return for her, however, on his return, the girl was no longer there. Kamomo worked as a prostitute and was resold to a brothel in which all the main events of the film take place. Once on the island, the visitor takes a woman with a disfigured face, long sold in this very brothel, for the night. She informs him that Kamomo committed suicide.
Next, the plot consists of the stories of a prostitute, given overnight to an American. She lies a lot before telling the stranger the shocking truth about herself and his beloved's death. The original version of her story conveyed the horrific torments and acquired injuries of Kamomo, inflicted on her as a result of a flash of hatred from the mistress of a brothel. According to the story of the woman, Kamomo was hated by all the inhabitants of the brothel, and they invented a story about the loss of the mistress’s expensive jade ring in order to punish the girl and win back her for everything that they themselves had ever experienced. She was cruelly tortured, driving needles under her fingernails and into her gums, burning her skin with red-hot stakes. Since she had nothing to do with theft, she did not confess to the crime, after which she hung herself, unable to bear the torture. But the story did not satisfy the American, he continued to demand a truthful story. Then the woman added that it was she who stole this ring and subsequently strangled Kamomo to save her immortal soul by earthly torment. However, the alien did not believe it. Then she added many new facts to the already mentioned earlier, revealing her story to the wanderer.
Parents of a prostitute were beggars and vagrants, once finding a settlement of the poor, remained there. Their relationship was aggravated by the fact that they were each other's blood relatives - brother and sister, so the daughter was born with visible disabilities. To be precise, two girls were born. They were Siamese twins. However, one of the sisters was on the skull of the other and had only a head and a hand. This feature was known only to herself and her mother, who first tried to get rid of the child, but, finding her two days later on the river bank, decided to educate her. The mother of the child had abortions and taught her daughter to help her. In childhood, the girl was raped by her father and a Buddhist priest. Deeply offended by her father’s deed, she killed him when he got drunk again when he went to the river to meet his natural needs. After that, her mother sold her to a brothel. She changed many brothels before getting to the one where she met Kamomo. Then a famous story happened, except for the fact that a woman went to all this because of the whim of her twin sister, who wished for the mistress's jade ring.
The prostitute shows his sister to the American, that ring, and most importantly, her demonic essence, after which the frightened wanderer kills her directly with a pistol in the head. The series ends with a scene in the prison where the new killer was put.
