Pedagogy (from 1937 to 1991 - Soviet pedagogy ) - the leading scientific and theoretical journal of the Russian Academy of Education (from 1937 to 1943 - the organ of the People's Commissariat of the RSFSR ; from 1944 to 1966 - the Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of the RSFSR; from 1967 to 1991 - the Academy of Pedagogics Sciences of the USSR). It is released monthly. ISSN code 0131-6826.
The publication is aimed at university professors, graduate students and researchers. Innovative searches in all areas of public education and in pedagogical science are highlighted. He is included in the database of the best Russian journals devoted to science, recommended for placement on the Web of Science platform in the Russian Science Citation Index (RSCI) database.
Circulation: in 1975 —83,000 copies, in 2019 - 5,000 copies. Frequency in 2019 is 10 times a year. In 2007, on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the journal for active social and political activities, the publication received a Certificate of Honor from the State Duma of the Russian Federation .
