John Bell Hatcher ( October 11, 1861 , Cooperstown - July 3, 1904 ) is an American paleontologist , who received the greatest fame thanks to the discovery of Triceratops .

Biography
In the fall of 1880, John Bell Hatcher enrolled at Greenell College in Iowa , and then transferred to Yale University . Hatcher’s talent did not go unnoticed by the famous paleontologist Gofoiil Charles Marsh , who invited a young student to excavate in Nebraska .
