12 km to the west from Zhitkovichi , 249 km from Gomel .

Transportation System

History

According to written sources, it has been known since the 16th century as a village in the Mozyr district of Minsk province of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania . In 1755, the wooden St. Michael the Archangel (St. Michael’s Church) was built at the expense of residents and the owner of the village of Yalensky.

After the 2nd partition of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth (1793) as part of the Russian Empire . The landowner Uvarov owned in 1876 in the village and its environs 20,830 tenths of land, a tavern. In 1884, a parochial school began to work. With the start of operation of the railway Luninets - Gomel (February 1886), the railway station Lyudenevichi (3 km from the village) began to operate. According to the census of 1897, the village of Lyudenevichi (it is Zabrodoche), in the Zhitkovichi volost of the Mozyr district of the Minsk province . There was a bakery, steam mill, tavern. In 1903, a 2-grade school was opened, later transformed into a 7-year school. As a result of a fire on December 3, 1906 a sawmill burned down. In 1908, a steam mill worked. The soldiers of the reserve military unit in 1914 attacked the estate, damaged it, and only the guards did not allow completely defeat it. In July-August 1917, the inhabitants seized landowners' lands and meadows. Later, a commune was created in a manor house.

The great fire occurred on May 12, 1925, when 254 buildings burned down in 62 courtyards. There was an agricultural unit, which was located in the former landlord's house. In the 1920s, a brick factory, a mill, an electrical installation that provided electricity for lighting the town began to work, in the 1930s a shoe cooperative (29 workers), a radio center. From August 20, 1924, the center of the Lyudenyevsky village council of the Zhitkovichi district of the Mozyr district (until July 26, 1930 and from June 21, 1935 to February 20, 1938), from February 20, 1938 to Polesia , from January 8, 1954, in the Gomel region. In 1930, the Novaya Zhizn collective farm was organized, a steam mill (since 1906), a brick factory (since 1930), a pottery, shoemaking workshops, and a forge worked. During World War II , an underground group operated. German invaders killed 64 inhabitants in 1941. In the battles for the village in July 1944, 2 Soviet soldiers were killed (buried in a mass grave in the center of the village). Released on July 7, 1944. 98 residents died on the fronts. According to the 1959 census, the center of the state farm "Lyudenevich". There is a brick factory, forestry, sawmill, secondary school, House of Culture, library, kindergarten, hospital, post office, canteen, sewing workshop, 3 stores.
