Oressa ( Belor. Aresa, Race ) is a river in the Gomel and Minsk regions , the right tributary of the Bird .

The river is 151 km long, its catchment area is 3,580 km². The average annual water discharge 12 km from the mouth is 15.9 m³ / s [1] . The sources of the river are in Levki, Starodorozhsky district, Minsk region, then the river flows along the Central Berezinsky plain , in the lower reaches - along the Pripyat Polesie . The width of the river in the upper reaches is 5–10 m, in the lower reaches - 30–35 m. In the Polessye part there is a large number of reclamation channels [2] .
On the banks of the river is the city of Luban , 7 km north of which is the Luban Reservoir , as well as the village of Buda .

The river is also famous for Yanka Kupala 's poem, “ Over the Aresai Cancer .”
