- poet, artist and calligrapher of yuan China. One of the most prominent masters of the artistic word of the Yuan era, called "the best of the Yuan poets."
Biography
Born in Yanmen, modern province of Shangxi. By origin, Hui (Dungan), his father is from the colored-eyed Sam.
He came from the family of a military leader, but, judging by the instructions in his works, spent his childhood in poverty. He was the eldest of three brothers in the family. In his youth he was engaged in private entrepreneurship. In 1327, he passed state exams for the position, held the censorship position at the Yuan court, but was expelled to the province for exposing dishonest dignitaries. Moving away from official duties, he spent the rest of his life in solitude in Hangzhou. He did not want to devote his life in the pursuit of fame and fortune.
Heritage
Sadula’s legacy consists mainly of poems, thanks to which he became famous at the court at the time. His poems are at the same time an example of an artistic word that continues the tradition of poetry of the late Tang, and a source on the history of the Yuan era, which allows you to deeply penetrate the public life that surrounded the author.
Sadula’s main legacy is a collection of verses in 14 juan, The Wild Goose’s Gate, and a collection of graphics that is stored in the Beijing Palace Museum.
Tribute to memory
Sources writing about Sadul, including Xin Yuan-shi and Selected Poetry of the Yuan Age, Gu Xili unanimously glorify him, emphasizing the disciplined simplicity and grace of the syllable, along with his reputation as an incorruptible, equal servant of the state to all.
In the early years, Mao Zedong met the poetry of Sadula. [2]
