Alexander Sergeevich Chechulin ( June 20, 1924 , Moscow - November 26, 1973 , Moscow) - Russian physiologist and organizer of science, doctor of medical sciences. Son of S.I. Chechulin .
In 1950 he graduated from the 1st Moscow Medical Institute and in 1953 headed the Central Scientific Research Laboratory (TsNIL), created by his father, which he directed until the last day of his life. He became famous for his work in the field of experimental pathology: modeling of pathological processes of the gastrointestinal tract, cardiovascular system, respiratory organs, dysregulation of the autonomic function, etc. His work devoted to studying the laws of mechanical secretion of the stomach is especially significant. In this area, he continued the research of his father, who first established the effectiveness of a mechanical factor as a causative agent of gastric secretion. He did a lot to create such laboratories at the largest honey. in-tah of the country, headed the problem committee on Central Scientific Research Laboratory under the Ministry of Health of the USSR. Together with V. A. Galkin, he made the discovery “The phenomenon of crystallization of bilirubin in an unsaturated solution of mammalian bile (Galkin – Chechulin effect)”, which is listed in the USSR State Register of Discoveries under No. 394 with a priority of 1957. Author of more than 90 scientific papers.
He was buried at the Novodevichy cemetery in Moscow (next to his father).
