Career

Club

Tamudo is a pupil of Hispaniola . From 1992 to 1996, he played for the club’s youth team. From 1996 to 1998 he was a player of Espanyol B. Since 2000, he was already the main player of the “white and blue”, and played 339 matches for them, scoring 129 goals. In 1998 and 1999 it was leased to Alaves and Lleida , respectively. With Espanyol, Raul won the Spanish Cup twice, and once reached the final of the UEFA Cup . Raul was a captain of the club for many years. In the winter of 2009, due to financial problems, the Hispaniola management decided in the summer to put the player on a transfer [2] . On August 1, Tamudo, as a free agent, transferred to Real Sociedad [3] .

On September 5, 2015, Raul Tamudo announced his retirement [4] .

International

Raul Tamudo participated in the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney . There the Spaniards reached the finals, where they lost on a penalty Cameroon [5] . Raul took part in all six matches and scored one goal, the US team [6] .

Tamudo played in the first team from 2000 to 2007. In total, he played 13 matches for the national team and scored 5 goals.
