Biography
He was quite tough in relation to rivals, but was widely revered by the people. He led a conciliatory policy towards the Church of Constantinople and Patriarch Photius I.
Death
Adrian died in Modena , on his way to Worms , where he was going to discuss with Charles III Tolstoy the questions of succession and the fight against the Saracens . Some believe that dad was poisoned. He was buried in the church of San Silvestro near Modena, decorated with reliefs with his image.
Canonization
It was canonized in 1891 by Pope Leo XIII , a memorial day - July 8 .
