Description
“The flag of the municipality Belorechensky district is a blue rectangular cloth with a ratio of width to length 2: 3 and reproducing white, with black and gray contours, figures of the coat of arms of the district: a diagonal (rising to the free edge) wave-like stripe and a horse's head emerging from stripes up in the middle of the banner. "
Justification of Symbols
The flag is designed on the basis of the coat of arms , which in the language of symbols and allegories reflects the historical, cultural and natural features of the Belorechensky district municipality.
The white wavy strip symbolizes the Belaya River , whose name is given to the city and the region. Such a composition makes the coat of arms a vowel, which in heraldry is considered one of the classical ways of creating a coat of arms.
The symbolism of the horse’s head on the flag is ambiguous:
- the image of the horse’s head allegorically indicates the leading role of the Cossacks of the regular Caucasian army, who prepared a place for the future city of Belorechensk in 1861-1862;
- Belorechensk land has a rich history - in the district there are numerous archaeological sites of different eras. They were left by the Scythians , Sarmatians , Polovtsy , Tatars . In the life and culture of all these peoples, the horse occupied a special place, as evidenced by the image of the horse's head.
- the municipality of Belorechensk district is traditionally agricultural; horses have played a special role in the economic life of the local population.
White color ( silver ) is a symbol of purity, perfection, peace and mutual understanding.
Blue color (light blue ) is a symbol of honor, nobility, spirituality.
