Biography
Born into a Jewish family near Vinnitsa, she joined the wandering theater as a child [1] . During the Civil War, she fell in love with an underground revolutionary, whom she married. White killed him and threw his body into the Bug River . In memory of her husband who died, Leah took the name of Bugov [1] .
She studied at the theater studio of the Kultur League society. In 1924, the Jewish Kunst-Winkle Theater (Kiev) was created [2] . Actress of the State Jewish Theater (Kiev) and Odessa Russian Drama Theater [3] . Member of the CPSU since 1941 [4] .
She was buried in the 60th section of the Jewish cemetery in Odessa [5] .
The theater prize named after L. I. Bugova and I. Tverdokhlib was established [6] .
