Geographical position
It is located in the northern part of the region 41 km north-east of Yartsev , 40 km north of the Belarus highway M1 , on the banks of the Lukashevka River. 42 km south of the village is the Milokhovo railway station on the Moscow - Minsk line .
History
During the Great Patriotic War, the village was occupied by Nazi troops in July 1941, liberated in September 1943. [3]
In 1963, by the decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Council of the RSFSR, the village of Staroselye was renamed Solnechnaya [4] .
