It is located in the central part of the region 10 km south-west of Yartsev , 12 km south of the Belarus highway M1 , on the banks of the Losmen River. 11 km north of the village is the Yartsevo railway station on the Moscow - Minsk line .

History

During the Great Patriotic War, the village was occupied by Nazi troops in July 1941 , liberated in September 1943 . [one]
