Located in the central part of the region, 12 km south-east of Yartsev , 12 km south of the Belarus highway M1 , on the bank of the Dnieper River . 9 km north of the village is the railway station Svishevo on the line Moscow - Minsk .
History
During the Great Patriotic War, the village was occupied by Hitler's troops in July 1941 , liberated in September 1943 . [one]
