It is located in the central part of the region, 7 km northwest of Yartsev , 7 km north of the Belarus highway M1 , on the banks of the Palna River. 8 km south-east of the village is the Yartsevo railway station on the Moscow - Minsk line .

History

During the Great Patriotic War, the village was occupied by Nazi troops in July 1941 , liberated in September 1943 . [one]
