It is located in the northern part of the region, 42 km northeast of Yartsev , 38 km north of the M1 Belarus highway, on the banks of the Vop river. 41 km south of the village is the Svishchevo railway station on the Moscow - Minsk line .

History

During the Great Patriotic War, the village was occupied by Nazi troops in July 1941 , liberated in September 1943 . [one]
