Bolshoi Pivkino is a village in the Yartsevo district of the Smolensk region of Russia . It is part of the Kapyrevshchinsky rural settlement. Population - 8 inhabitants ( 2007 ).

It is located in the northern part of the region, 26 km north-east of Yartsev , 22 km north of the Belarus highway M1 . Svishchevo railway station on the Moscow - Minsk line is located 24 km south of the village.

History

During the Great Patriotic War, the village was occupied by Nazi troops in July 1941 , liberated in September 1943 . [one]
