It is located in the northern part of the region, 27 km north-east of Yartsev , 23 km north of the Belarus highway M1 . 25 km south of the village is the Svishchevo railway station on the Moscow - Minsk line .
History
During the Great Patriotic War, the village was occupied by Nazi troops in July 1941 , liberated in September 1943 . [one]
