It is located in the southwestern part of the region, 11 km northwest of Shumyachy , 18 km north of the A101 Moscow-Warsaw highway ("Old Polish" or "Warsaw"), on the banks of the Terebrevka River. 19 km southeast of the village is the Ponyatovka railway station on the Roslavl - Krichev line .
History
During the Great Patriotic War, the village was occupied by Nazi troops in August 1941 , liberated in September 1943 . [one]
