It is located in the southwestern part of the region 12 km west of Shumyachy , 10 km north of the A101 Moscow-Warsaw highway (Old Poland or Warsaw). 12 km southeast of the village is the Osva railway station on the Roslavl - Krichev line .
History
During the Great Patriotic War, the village was occupied by Nazi troops in August 1941 , liberated in September 1943 . [one]
