It is located in the southwestern part of the region, 11 km southwest of Shumyachy , 0.5 km south of the A130 Moscow-Warsaw highway (Old Polish Road or Warsaw Highway). 1.5 km south of the village is the Osva railway station on the Roslavl - Krichev line .
History
During the Great Patriotic War, the village was occupied by Nazi troops in August 1941 , liberated in September 1943 . [one]
