Krymki is a village in the Shumyachsky district of the Smolensk region of Russia . It is part of the Ozerny rural settlement. Population - 5 inhabitants ( 2007 ).

It is located in the southwestern part of the region, 5 km west of Shumyachy , 9 km north of the A101 Moscow-Warsaw highway ("Old Polish" or "Warsaw"), on the banks of the Oster River. 12 km south of the village is the Osva railway station on the Roslavl - Krichev line .

History

During the Great Patriotic War, the village was occupied by Nazi troops in August 1941 , liberated in September 1943 . [one]
