Located in the southwestern part of the region, 37 km west of Shumyachi , 30 km north-west of the A101 Moscow-Warsaw highway (“Old Polish” or “Varshavka”). The Osva railway station on the Roslavl - Krichev line is located 33 km south-east of the village.
History
During the Great Patriotic War, the village was occupied by Hitler's troops in August 1941 , liberated in September 1943 . [one]
