It is located in the northern part of the region, 3 km north-east of Kholm-Zhirkovsky , 40 km north of the Belarus highway M1 . 18 km southwest of the village is the Kanyutino railway station on the Durovo - Vladimirsky Tupik line .
History
During the Great Patriotic War, the village was occupied by Nazi troops in October 1941 , liberated in March 1943 [1] .
