It is located in the northern part of the region 30 km west of Kholm-Zhirkovsky , 25 km southeast of the P136 Smolensk- Nelidovo highway, on the banks of the Vop river. 17 km north-east of the village is the Kanyutino railway station on the Durovo - Vladimirsky Tupik line .
History
During the Great Patriotic War, the village was occupied by Nazi troops in October 1941 , liberated in March 1943 . [one]
