Located in the northern part of the region, 40 km north-west of Kholm-Zhirkovsky , 15 km south-east of the P136 Smolensk- Nelidovo highway, on the banks of the Konnovka river. 26 km east of the village there is the Kanyutino railway station on the Durovo - Vladimirsky Deadlock line .
History
During the Great Patriotic War, the village was occupied by Nazi troops in October 1941 , liberated in March 1943 . [one]
