Nesterovo is a village in the Kholm-Zhirkovsky district of the Smolensk region of Russia . It is part of the Holm-Zhirkovsky urban settlement. Population - 10 inhabitants ( 2007 ).

It is located in the northern part of the region, 0.5 km west of Kholm-Zhirkovsky , 36 km north of the M1 Belarus highway, on the banks of the Sol River. 13 km west of the village is the Kanyutino railway station on the Durovo - Vladimirsky Tupik line .

History

During the Great Patriotic War, the village was occupied by Nazi troops in October 1941 , liberated in March 1943 . [one]
