It is located in the eastern part of the region 10 km northwest of Temkin , 28 km southeast of the M1 Belarus highway. 4 km south of the village is the Zasetskaya railway station on the Vyazma - Kaluga line .
History
The last date of mention in the systematic lists is 1811. In the List of Populated Places for 1859 under the number 11454 - in the village of Golovkino (in the List it is listed as Golovkina) there were only 8 yards with a population of 65 people (28 m.p. and 37.p. . In the List of Populated Places for 1904: 17 households, the number of inhabitants was 87 (42 m.p. and 45 b.p.), belonged to the Sosnitsa volost, there was a small shop. During the Great Patriotic War, the village was occupied by Nazi troops in October 1941 , liberated in March 1943 [1] .
