It is located in the eastern part of the region 4 km northeast of Temkin , 31 km northeast of the P132 Vyazma - Kaluga - Tula - Ryazan highway , on the banks of the Vorya River . 5 km south-west of the village is the Temkino railway station on the Vyazma - Kaluga line .

History

During the Great Patriotic War, the village was occupied by Nazi troops in October 1941 . It was liberated by the troops of the Soviet army in March 1943 . [one]
