Located in the eastern part of the region, 15 km west of Temkin , 23 km northeast of the P132 highway Vyazma - Kaluga - Tula - Ryazan , on the banks of the Ugra river . Temkino railway station on the Vyazma - Kaluga line is located 16 km east of the village.

History

During the Great Patriotic War, the village was occupied by Nazi troops in October 1941 , liberated in March 1943 . [one]
