It should not be confused with the village of New Seliba in the Bykhov district of the Mogilev region of Belarus

It is located in the eastern part of the region 17 km west of Temkin , 21 km north-east of the P132 Vyazma - Kaluga - Tula - Ryazan highway , on the banks of the Ugra River. 18 km east of the village is the Temkino railway station on the Vyazma - Kaluga line .

History

During the Great Patriotic War, the village was occupied by Nazi troops in October 1941 , liberated in March 1943 . [one]
