It is located in the eastern part of the region 9 km south-west of Temkin , 21 km north-east of the P132 Vyazma - Kaluga - Tula - Ryazan highway , on the banks of the Turei River. 11 km north-east of the village is the Temkino railway station on the Vyazma - Kaluga line .

History

During the Great Patriotic War, the village was occupied by Nazi troops in October 1941 , liberated in March 1943 . [one]
