It is located in the eastern part of the region, 16 km northwest of Temkin , 24 km southeast of the M1 Belarus highway, on the banks of the Zhizhala river. At 1.5 km south-east of the village is the railway station O.p. 36th km on the Vyazma - Kaluga line .
History
The deadline for mentioning in the systematic lists is 1811. In the List of Populated Places for 1859 under number 11914 - in the village of Osipovo there were only 7 households with a population of 52 people (24 m.p. and 28.p. In the List of Populated Places for 1904: 8 yards, number of inhabitants 19 (8 m.p. and 11 w.p.), was the owner's estate, belonged to the Kikinsky volost. During the Great Patriotic War, the village was occupied by Nazi troops in October 1941 , liberated in March 1943 . [one]
