It is located in the eastern part of the region 16 km northeast of Temkin , 30 km south of the M1 Belarus highway, on the banks of the Vorya river. 18 km south-west of the village is the Temkino railway station on the Vyazma - Kaluga line .

History

During the Great Patriotic War, the village was occupied by Nazi troops in October 1941 , liberated in March 1943 . [one]
