It is located in the eastern part of the region, 18 km north-east of Temkin , 28 km south of the M1 Belarus road. The railway station Temkino on the Vyazma - Kaluga line is located 19 km south-west of the village.
History
During the Great Patriotic War, the village was occupied by Nazi troops in October 1941 , liberated in March 1943 . [one]
