It is located in the eastern part of the region, 26 km north-east of Temkin , 24 km south of the Belarus highway M1 . 28 km south-west of the village is the Temkino railway station on the Vyazma - Kaluga line .

History

During the Great Patriotic War, the village was occupied by Nazi troops in October 1941 , liberated in March 1943 . [one]
