It is located in the eastern part of the region 13 km north of Temkin , 29 km southeast of the M1 Belarus highway, on the banks of the Vorya River . 15 km south of the village is the Temkino railway station on the Vyazma - Kaluga line .
History
During the Great Patriotic War, the village was occupied by Nazi troops in October 1941 , liberated in March 1943 . [one]
