Zenkova, Efrosinya Savelievna

Efrosinya Savelyevna Zenkova ( Belorussian. Efrasinnya Savelyўna Zyankova ; December 22, 1923 - April 19, 1984 ) - participant of the Great Patriotic War , underground worker, secretary of the Obolskaya underground Komsomol organization Young Avengers . Hero of the Soviet Union (1.07.1958).

Biography

She was born on December 22, 1923 in a peasant family in the village of Ushaly, now Shumilinsky district, Vitebsk region . By nationality, Belarusian . Member of the CPSU (b) since 1945. After graduating from high school and high school , the Federal Labor Law worked at a garment factory.

Member of World War II since 1941. She worked as part of the underground party district committee and the leadership of the partisan detachment to them. K.E. Voroshilova . Underground workers carried out information about the enemy garrison located in the town of Obol ( Shumilinsky district ). They committed 21 sabotage operations. Among others - a power plant was blown up, brick and flax plants were put out of action, two thousand tons of flax , ready for shipment to Germany , were burnt in the warehouse of the station.

On August 28, 1943, mass arrests of members of the Komsomol underground took place, many young underground workers were shot. Zenkova on the eve of the raids and arrests was on the instructions of the party district committee in the distant Galushanino junction. Upon returning, having learned about the arrests, she joined a partisan detachment.

By a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of July 1, 1958, Zenkova Efrosinya Savelyevna was awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union with the awarding of the Order of Lenin and the Gold Star medal (No. 11112).

At the end of World War II, she worked in the military registration and enlistment office of the city of Vitebsk . She died on April 19, 1984.

She was buried at the Mazurinsky cemetery in Vitebsk.

  • The set of documents and awards of E. S. Zenkova are on display at the Republican Museum of Glory.
  • The obelisk monument-obolisk underground is installed at school number 41 of the city of Minsk .
