Nikitya is a village in the Sychevsky district of the Smolensk region of Russia . It is part of the Karavaevsky rural settlement. The population is 227 inhabitants ( 2007 ).

It is located in the north-eastern part of the region, 19 km north-west of Sychevka , 14 km west of the P134 Staraya Smolenskaya road, Smolensk - Dorogobuzh - Vyazma - Zubtsov , on the banks of the Yablonia River. 10 km southeast of the village is the Sychevka railway station on the Vyazma - Rzhev line .

History

During the Great Patriotic War, the village was occupied by Nazi troops in October 1941 , liberated in March 1943 . [one]
