It is located in the north-eastern part of the region, 7 km west of Sychevka , 11 km west of the P134 Staraya Smolenskaya road, Smolensk - Dorogobuzh - Vyazma - Zubtsov , on the banks of the Yablonka River. 10 km north-east of the village is the Sychevka railway station on the Vyazma - Rzhev line .
History
During the Great Patriotic War, the village was occupied by Nazi troops in October 1941 , liberated in March 1943 . [one]
