Located in the western part of the region, 46 km north-west of Smolensk , 8 km south-west of the P133 Smolensk - Nevel highway. 22 km south of the village is located Poselkovaya railway station on the Smolensk - Vitebsk line .

History

During the Great Patriotic War, the village was occupied by Nazi troops in July 1941 , liberated in September 1943 [1] .
