It is located in the western part of the region 42 km northwest of Smolensk , 2.5 km east of the P133 Smolensk - Nevel highway. 30 km south of the village is the Lelekvinskaya railway station on the Smolensk - Vitebsk line .
History
During the Great Patriotic War, the village was occupied by Nazi troops in July 1941 , liberated in September 1943 [1] .
