It is located in the western part of the region 3 km north of Smolensk , 1 km south of the M1 "Belarus" highway, on the banks of the Vyazovenka river. 7 km south of the village is the Smolensk railway station on the Moscow - Minsk line .
History
During the Great Patriotic War, the village was occupied by Nazi troops in July 1941 , liberated in September 1943 [1] .
