It is located in the western part of the region 33 km west of Smolensk , 6 km south of the M1 “Belarus” highway, on the banks of the Zebrevitsa river. 7 km northwest of the village is the Gusino railway station on the Moscow - Minsk line .
History
During the Great Patriotic War, the village was occupied by Nazi troops in July 1941 , liberated in September 1943 [1] .
