Semenovo is a village in the Smolensk district of the Smolensk region of Russia . It is part of the Kasplyansky rural settlement. The population is 32 inhabitants ( 2007 ).

It is located in the western part of the region 34 km north-west of Smolensk , 2 km north-east of the P133 Smolensk - Nevel highway. 23 km south of the village is the railway station O.p. 416th km on the Smolensk - Vitebsk line .
History
Until 1927, it was part of the Porech district of Smolensk province. In 1918, the city of Porechye was renamed Demidov, and the county - in Demidov. In 1927, the county was abolished. Until 1913, the village of Semenovo was also included in one of 16 volosts of Porech district - Semenovskaya.
During the Great Patriotic War, the village was occupied by Nazi troops in July 1941 , liberated in September 1943 [1] .
