Located in the western part of the region, 23 km north-west of Smolensk , 6 km north of the M1 Belarus highway. O. p. Railway station is located 6 km south of the village . 416th km on the line Smolensk - Vitebsk .

History

During the Great Patriotic War, the village was occupied by Nazi troops in July 1941 , liberated in September 1943 [1] .
