It is located in the western part of the region, 46 km northeast of Rudny , 12 km west of the R133 Smolensk - Nevel highway. 47 km southwest of the village is the Rudnya railway station on the Smolensk - Vitebsk line .

History

During the years of World War II, the village was occupied by Nazi troops in July 1941 , liberated in October 1943 . [one]
