It is located in the western part of the region 16 km north of Rudnya, 10 km northwest of the P130 Demidov -Rudnya highway. 17 km south of the village is the Rudnya railway station on the Smolensk - Vitebsk line .

History

During the years of World War II, the village was occupied by Nazi troops in July 1941 , liberated in October 1943 . [one]
