It is located in the western part of the region 1.5 km north of Rudny , 1.5 km north of the A141 Orel - Vitebsk highway. 2 km south of the village is the Rudnya railway station on the Smolensk - Vitebsk line .

History

During the years of World War II, the village was occupied by Nazi troops in July 1941 , liberated in October 1943 . [one]
